Questions Frequently Asked by Mind Games Judges

Are you thinking about attending Mind Games and have questions? Start here and see if we have an answer for you!

When and where will Mind Games 2020 be held?

Due to health and safety concerns related to the COVID-19 outbreak, Mind Games 2020 has been canceled. Our plan is to reschedule the event, hopefully for this fall, but only after it’s clear attendee safety can be assured.

I’ve never been to Mind Games before. What should I expect?

You’re in luck! We have an entire page dedicated to providing information to members who are first-time attendees.

What is the registration fee for players?

See the Player/Judge registration page for more information.

Do I have to be a member of Mensa to register for Mind Games?

Yes. Only current Mensa members may register themselves and guests. If a current member wants to register a nonmember guest, they’ll need to create a guest profile during the registration process.

Please be aware that nonmember guest registrations may be limited — they’re welcome to attend and play, but their ballots will not be vailid and they may not participate in the Games Giveaway. If you’re not a member, or have allowed your membership to lapse, consider joining Mensa or reinstating your membership today!

Must my membership be active for my votes to count?

Yes. Your membership must be active at the time you pick up your badge and play card for your ballot to count or to participate in the Games Giveaway. We’ll be happy to renew your membership on-site, should you need.

Should children attend Mind Games?

Mind Games welcomes any Mensa Member to register for the event. However, attendees under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian on site during the event. Additionally, attendees 14 and younger are required to have a legal guardian present in the games room with them at all times, to ensure the safety and well-being of all our guests.

How can my Local Group host Mind Games?

Submit a bid! Mind Games bid packets are available in mid-summer and are due in late fall. Mind Games usually takes place in late March or April. For more information, send us an email or call (817) 607-0060.
