Are you thinking about attending Mind Games and have questions? Start here and see if we have an answer for you!
When and where will Mind Games 2024 be held?
I’ve never been to Mind Games before. What should I expect?
You’re in luck! We have an entire page dedicated to providing information to members who are first-time attendees.
What’s the registration fee for players?
See the Player/Judge registration page for more information.
What’s the event cancellation policy?
A 10 percent processing fee will be charged for cancellation and refund requests made through March 31, 2024. Cancellation and refund requests received after that date will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, based on circumstance and event viability. For more information or to cancel, email Registration.
What safety protocols are in place for attendees?
Covid-19 remains a major concern despite improvements in prevention, treatment, and cultural adjustments. To ensure you get the most out of Mind Games, please take a moment to review the safety measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Do I have to be a member of Mensa to register for Mind Games?
Yes. Only current Mensa members may register themselves and guests. If a current member wants to register a nonmember guest, they’ll need to create a guest profile during the registration process.
Please be aware that nonmember guest registrations may be limited — they’re welcome to attend and play, but their ballots will not be valid and they may not participate in the Games Giveaway. If you’re not a member, or have allowed your membership to lapse, consider joining Mensa or reinstating your membership today!
Must my membership be active for my votes to count?
Yes. Your membership must be active at the time you pick up your badge and play card for your ballot to count or to participate in the Games Giveaway. We’ll be happy to renew your membership on-site, should you need.
Should children attend Mind Games?
Mind Games welcomes any Mensa member to register for the event. However, attendees under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian (must also be registered for the event) on site during the event. Additionally, for attendees 14 and younger, a parent/legal guardian (also registered) must be present in the games room with them at all times, to ensure the safety and well-being of all our guests.
Does the event have a code of conduct?
Yes, attendees are expected to follow the Mind Games Code of Conduct.
